What our families are saying

“We can’t say enough good things about Bozeman Montessori. There’s a passion for education here – and a general expression of kindness – that really puts you at ease as a parent. It can be hard to leave children [during the day], and see them grow up, but the staff and director at Bozeman Montessori put so much effort into the Montessori Method, and the specific needs of each student, that I feel like our boys (ages 19 months and 3) are in the best hands possible. We consider ourselves lucky to have found this school, the wonderful staff, and the supportive parent community.”

Why Montessori

Founded by Maria Montessori in the early 1900s, the Montessori Method revolutionized early childhood education. Today, our child-focused teaching approach inspires children to become passionate, lifelong learners.

  • Children gain confidence and focus through healthy independence and uninterrupted worktime

  • Learning is experiential and spontaneous, taking place through hands-on activities

  • From scale to materials, the environment is child-centered, not teacher-centered

  • The curriculum is highly individualized, supporting each child’s unique development and interests

  • Mixed-age classes create a “family” of learners who support each other’s needs while practicing leadership skills with mutual respect

  • Teachers take on the role of a caring guide, building trust and facilitating the child’s learning and growth through one-on-one instruction
