“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”

― RALPH WALDO EMERSON

“Education is not something which a teacher does, but that it is a natural process which develops spontaneously in the human being. It is not acquired by listening to words, but in virtue of experiences in which the child acts on his environment.”

Career Highlights:

After many years in the classroom, I founded Bozeman Montessori in 2013. I have loved the community we have built and am grateful that I have been able to contribute to it.

Special Skills:

I’m currently working on a Practitioner Certificate in Montessori for Aging and Dementia from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and a Montessori Elder Care Practitioner from Brush Development.

Things I am passionate about:

Seeing this community flourish and take on a life of its own, empowering others, Montessori education, and the well-being of all.

In my free time, I love to:

Explore and play in nature. I also LOVE to cook and have been known to surprise friends with freshly baked loaves of sourdough bread or jars of homemade kimchi.

Other things about me:

Friends swear I can telepathically communicate with my pets. I can solve many of the world’s problems if you give me enough time to create and tinker with the right spreadsheet. I have a song up my sleeve to sing for almost any occasion in the center.

When I was little, I loved to:

Be with my animals. Interacting and observing animals still brings me great joy.

“We can’t say enough good things about Bozeman Montessori. There’s a passion for education here – and a general expression of kindness – that really puts you at ease as a parent. It can be hard to leave children [during the day], and see them grow up, but the staff and director at Bozeman Montessori put so much effort into the Montessori Method, and the specific needs of each student, that I feel like our boys (ages 19 months and 3) are in the best hands possible. We consider ourselves lucky to have found this school, the wonderful staff, and the supportive parent community.”
